Produced by the renowned Moorcroft Pottery of Stoke-on-Trent, England, this example features the studio’s signature raised slip decoration, carefully hand-painted in soft pinks and greens on a cream ground.

The Magnolia design was introduced under Walter Moorcroft during the mid-20th century and remains one of the factory’s most recognisable motifs. Each piece was individually tube-lined and glazed, reflecting the high standard of British art pottery for which Moorcroft has been celebrated since its founding by William Moorcroft in the early 1900s.

This vase bears the impressed and painted Moorcroft and WM marks to the base. A fine example of post-war English art pottery craftsmanship that displays the charm and collectability associated with the Moorcroft name.
