On offer is an antique Wedgwood blue Jasperware biscuit barrel dating from the late 19th to early 20th century. The piece features the classic deep blue matte stoneware body with applied white neoclassical reliefs, including garlands and Greco-Roman figures, a hallmark of Wedgwood’s long-established Jasperware tradition introduced in the 18th century. The base is marked “Wedgwood England”, placing production between 1891 and 1910.
The barrel is fitted with its original silver-plated lid and swing handle, both in excellent condition with minimal age-related wear. Standing approximately 6 inches tall to the rim (excluding handle), the piece shows no chips, cracks, or repairs. A refined and well-preserved example of Edwardian Wedgwood Jasperware.
