On offer is a charming pair of Winstanley Pottery meerkats, modelled in the classic upright pose and fitted with signature glass eyes that give them their lifelike, expressive character. These are Size 2 examples, each measuring approximately 6.5 inches long, and display the detailed modelling and hand-painted finish for which Winstanley Pottery is well regarded.

Both figures are in good condition overall, with natural variations in glazing and hand-finishing. One meerkat has a tiny earpiece flaw, clearly shown in the photographs, but this does not detract from their display appeal.

Winstanley (formerly known as Melton Ware) is well known for its highly collectable animal figures, especially cats and wildlife models. These meerkats are a lovely example of their mid–late 20th century craft production.
