Samson Armorial Porcelain Plate Hand Painted 19th Century
£ 125.00
On offer is a hand-painted porcelain plate by Samson & Co. of Paris, produced in the 19th century in imitation of 18th-century Chinese export armorial wares. The centre features a detailed armorial crest with lion and unicorn supporters beneath a crown, a motif often associated with European heraldic commissions. Surrounding the crest is a finely painted floral garland border in enamel colours. The reverse bears a pseudo-Chinese mark typical of Samson, intended to emulate Qing dynasty export pieces. Measuring approx. 10.5 inches in diameter, the plate is in good condition with minor age-related wear.
