Standing at approximately 15 inches tall, the sculpture is expressive and finely modelled, featuring a braided hairstyle and gracefully curved arms encircling the child. It is a substantial and highly decorative work. The right arm has been broken and carefully reattached, but the piece remains stable and displays very well.
