Victorian Engraved Bucket Rummer Drinking Glass Mid 19th Century
£ 30.00
On offer is a fine mid-19th century Victorian bucket rummer, a classic form widely used in taverns and public houses of the period. This example features a deep bucket-shaped bowl beautifully engraved with fern and berry motifs, a popular decorative theme in mid-Victorian glassware.
The glass shows a smooth oily grey tone and clear striations from the original gadget tool mark beneath the foot — both reliable indicators of hand-blown 19th-century manufacture. Measuring approximately 150 mm (15 cm) tall, it presents very well with no chips or cracks.
A solid and attractive Victorian drinking glass with strong historical character.
