Victorian Silver Plate and Cut Glass Claret Jug – Mask Handle c.1890
£ 95.00
On offer is a late Victorian silver plate and cut glass claret jug dating to around the 1890s. The jug features a sharply cut glass body with detailed geometric and starburst patterns, paired with finely engraved silver-plated mounts. The handle is particularly striking, decorated with a classical mask and floral scrollwork typical of high-quality Victorian design.
Standing approximately 12 inches (30.5 cm) tall, the jug is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or structural damage. The silver plate retains its original aged patina and has been left unpolished to preserve its antique character. A refined and impressive example of Victorian tableware.
