On offer is a handcrafted Yixing Zisha clay teapot attributed to contemporary Chinese potter Zhou Jianbiao. The rounded body stands on three feet and features a shaped handle, curved spout and a fitted lid decorated with a raised floral design.

Yixing in Jiangsu province has a long tradition of producing unglazed Zisha teapots. The porous clay is particularly associated with Gongfu tea preparation. This example bears impressed seals beneath the teapot and lid and forms part of the Mortal Pottery collection. The accompanying booklet also names Qiu Liqin.

The Yixing Zisha clay teapot comes with its original bamboo presentation box, orange lining, silk pouch and printed booklet.
