On offer is a Welsh copper and brass miners lamp produced by Thomas and Williams of Cambrian, Aberdare. This well-known firm was established in the 19th century and became a significant maker of safety lamps for the South Wales coalfields, their lamps now widely collected for their industrial heritage and craftsmanship. This example is stamped with the lamp number 69043.

The lamp is in very good condition and stands at approximately 10 inches tall, not including the handle. A strong and well-preserved piece of Welsh mining history.
