On offer is a vintage CEAG Ltd electric miner’s hand lamp made in Barnsley. It has a cylindrical steel battery casing, protected incandescent bulb, clear glass enclosure and large circular carrying handle.

CEAG Ltd manufactured electric safety lamps for the British mining industry. These battery powered lamps provided miners with enclosed electric lighting without an exposed flame. This example has wear to the silver coloured plating and general age related surface marks. No battery is included and its operation has not been confirmed.
