Rare 1903 Pattern Bayonet Converted Commando Dagger Military Knife

On offer is a rare 1903 Pattern bayonet that was later converted into a Commando dagger. The original 1903 Pattern bayonet was produced for only a short period between 1903 and 1907, making surviving examples increasingly scarce. This example has subsequently been altered into a fighting knife, a type of conversion associated with British Commando and other specialist military units during the twentieth century.

The dagger retains its steel blade, original grip and matching scabbard, displaying honest service wear and patina throughout. It measures approximately 320 mm in total length and remains a fascinating piece of British military history. A rare and collectable military edged weapon for enthusiasts of antique bayonets and militaria.
