On offer is a pair of vintage USSR porcelain figurines by the Lomonosov Porcelain Factory, believed to date from the mid twentieth century. The group consists of a naturalistically modelled brown bear and a farm girl with two hens, decorated in a distinctive cobalt blue and white palette.

The Lomonosov factory is historically connected with the Imperial Porcelain Factory in St Petersburg and continued its porcelain tradition during the Soviet period. These Lomonosov porcelain figurines combine Russian wildlife and rural subjects with expressive hand painted decoration.
