On offer is a pair of Swedish Kosta Boda art glass seal figures, sometimes described as seals or sea lions, designed by Paul Hoff for the WWF series. These sculptural figures are formed in clear glass with fluid, rounded shapes that capture movement and character, and were produced as part of a limited edition range supporting the World Wide Fund for Nature.

Kosta Boda is one of Sweden’s most respected glassworks, founded in the eighteenth century and internationally known for innovative art glass. Paul Hoff’s animal designs for Kosta Boda are particularly well regarded for their expressive simplicity and strong Scandinavian modernist influence. Both examples are signed to the base and measure approximately 4.5 inches tall. They are in good condition with no chips or cracks noted, although one example has a differently finished foot, which may indicate a professional repair. A highly decorative and collectable pair of Swedish art glass figures.
