Buren, founded in the mid-19th century, was known for producing reliable and well-engineered timepieces, and their compact drum and barrel movements were widely used in quality travel clocks and instrument housings.

This example has a clean dial with Arabic numerals and a cylindrical case ready to be fitted into a clock body. The main barrel section intended for housing measures approximately 92mm in diameter, with an overall length of around 3.25 inches. The movement is in working order.
