EPNS Art Nouveau Vase Pierced Floral Silver Plate Glass Liner
£65.00
On offer is a rare EPNS Art Nouveau vase dating to the early 20th century, richly decorated with pierced floral and foliate work around the bowl. The design is strongly rooted in the Art Nouveau movement, with flowing organic forms, stylised plant motifs, and sculptural handles that extend outward in a naturalistic manner. The bowl is raised on three branch form legs, adding to the overall sense of movement and craftsmanship.
The vase retains its original clear glass liner, allowing it to be used while protecting the silver plated body. EPNS, or electro plated nickel silver, was widely used during this period to create decorative wares of high visual quality while remaining more accessible than solid silver. The surface shows an aged silver patina consistent with its age, and the piece remains structurally sound and well preserved.
