On offer is a sterling silver stamp box hallmarked for Birmingham, 1904, made by Adie & Lovekin Ltd, a well-known Birmingham silversmith active in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The box is charmingly formed as a miniature envelope, a popular novelty design of the Edwardian period.
This antique silver stamp holder measures approximately 30mm by 22mm. It is in good condition for its age, with one noticeable dent to the front panel but otherwise showing normal age-related wear. A collectible and finely made example of an Edwardian sterling silver stamp box by a respected maker.
