On offer is a 1950s Smiths Art Deco sunburst clock, crafted in gilded wood with a classic mid-century electric movement. Smiths, one of Britain’s leading clockmakers of the 20th century, produced a range of distinctive decorative clocks, and the sunburst form remains among the most sought-after designs of the period for its dramatic geometric styling.

This is a particularly large and impressive example, measuring approximately 26 inches across. Condition is good with age-related surface wear to the gilding. The electric movement has not been tested; due to age, rewiring and PAT testing are recommended before use. A substantial statement piece of mid-century design.
