On offer is a small antique Japanese eggshell porcelain bowl dating from the first half of the twentieth century. The exterior has a blue lustre ground decorated with a raised moriage dragon in black, white and brown enamels.

The base contains a concealed erotic lithophane depicting a nude woman. The image is difficult to see when the bowl is dry but becomes clearly visible when water is added. This unusual feature combines traditional Japanese dragonware decoration with erotic art intended to surprise the viewer.
