On offer is a vintage set of six bentwood coasters, each containing a real butterfly carefully preserved between two glass panels. Popular during the mid twentieth century, these decorative coasters combined natural history specimens with practical household use, making them both attractive conversation pieces and collectable display items. Each coaster features a different butterfly, creating a varied and colourful set.

The steamed bentwood frames display light age related wear with a few small edge chips, all consistent with age and use. The glass panels and butterfly specimens remain in good condition, and the coasters are structurally sound. Each measures approximately 85 mm in diameter and 20 mm high.

A charming vintage set that combines natural history with decorative craftsmanship.
