On offer is a set of five 12oz Edinburgh Crystal highball tumblers in the Montrose pattern, a long-established design noted for its deep cross-cutting and star-cut bases. Edinburgh Crystal, founded in 1867, became one of Scotland’s most respected glassmakers, and the Montrose pattern is among its classic traditional cuts. Each glass measures approximately 145mm tall with a diameter of around 74mm. All five are in good condition with no chips or cracks. As typical for this service, only the highball glasses were factory signed; the tumblers and champagne flutes were unsigned and originally carried removable sticker labels.
