Replica Flintlock Pistols Pair Joseph Kirner 1807 Forsyth Patent
£85.00
On offer is a pair of early 20th century replica flintlock pistols, modelled on an original Joseph Kirner 1807 design and engraved Joseph Kirner 1807 to the barrels. The locks are marked Forsyth Patent, referencing the famous ignition system developed by Reverend Alexander John Forsyth, whose innovations helped bridge the transition from traditional flintlock mechanisms to percussion firearms during the early 19th century.
These decorative replica pistols feature Bakelite grips, engraved metal mounts and octagonal barrels with decorative border engraving. Both retain their original untouched patina, adding to their authentic period appearance. One pistol is missing its butt end cap, otherwise they remain in good original uncleaned condition with age related wear. Each pistol measures approximately 13 inches in length.
A decorative pair of replica flintlock pistols that display well and make an attractive addition to any collection of historical military or firearms memorabilia.
