The sign appears to be a later twentieth century decorative advertising piece rather than an original shop sign commissioned by Bryant and May. Swan Vestas was launched in 1906 and became one of Britain’s best known match brands. This sign retains strong colour and gloss, with limited enamel loss around a corner and mounting hole.
