Founded in 1860, Thomas and Williams became one of Britain’s foremost manufacturers of miners’ lamps, valued both for their durability underground and for the high standard of Welsh metalwork associated with the company.

Standing approximately 11 inches tall (excluding the handle), the lamp remains in good vintage condition with age-related signs of use. A significant piece of British industrial heritage and a notable example from the Millennium Beacon series, which marked the nationwide beacon-lighting celebrations at the turn of the 21st century.
