On offer is a rare Mid Century William Rodgers cutlery canteen, presented to Sgt G. Lee of the Queens Dragoon Guards by N.S.O. Squadron, The Shropshire Yeomanry, during the period 1958 to 1961. The set is housed in an attractive fitted case finished in simulated tortoiseshell Lucite or celluloid and contains stainless steel knives and forks with beautifully matched handles. The cutlery remains unused and retains its original bright finish, making this an exceptionally well preserved example.

William Rodgers of Sheffield was one of England’s most respected cutlery manufacturers, with a history dating back to the 18th century. Renowned for producing quality knives and tableware, the firm’s products were prized both domestically and internationally. The engraved presentation plaque gives this canteen genuine military provenance, adding an extra layer of historical interest to an already desirable Mid Century Sheffield cutlery set.
