On offer is a rare antique slipware frog tankard inscribed Barton Tavern 1904 to the body. This traditional form features a modelled frog climbing the inside wall, a popular humorous motif found in late 19th- and early 20th-century tavernwares. The exterior displays classic slip-decorated marbling in rich brown and ochre tones, typical of English country pottery of the period.

The tankard stands at approximately 4 inches tall with a diameter of around 4 inches and remains in good condition for its age. A scarce and characterful piece of early 20th-century slipware with strong collector appeal.
