On offer is a rare antique glass advertising paperweight dating from the late 19th to very early 20th century. The weight is cut with the inscription United Asbestos Co Ltd Salamander Decorations London, engraved into the base in bold lettering. Measuring approximately 3.25 inches in diameter, it features a classic cut glass form with age-related surface marks and microchips typical of long-used Victorian and Edwardian paperweights. A rough outer ring suggests it may originally have been mounted in marble or fitted with a silver rim. A scarce surviving example of early industrial advertising in glass.
