Victorian Cranberry Glass Bell Nineteenth Century Hand Blown Example
£75.00
On offer is a rare nineteenth century Victorian cranberry glass bell, an early example of this decorative glass form. The bell is hand blown in a rich cranberry tone and fitted with a clear glass handle, joined to the bell using an early filler technique typical of period construction.
Victorian cranberry glass was produced using gold chloride to achieve its distinctive pink red hue and was highly fashionable during the mid to late nineteenth century. Bells of this type were popular decorative objects and are now increasingly scarce, particularly early examples demonstrating traditional joining methods.
The bell is in very good condition with no chips or cracks and displays well as an authentic piece of Victorian glass. A fine example of a Victorian cranberry glass bell that brings character and authenticity to any interior.
