Dating to the early twentieth century, this attractive piece features the slogan “Ask for Worthington in Bottle” together with brewery advertising and a Royal Coat of Arms, reflecting the golden age of British pub and brewery advertising.

Raphael Tuck & Sons were one of Britain’s best known publishers and manufacturers of illustrated goods, earning royal patronage and producing a wide range of quality promotional items. Advertising match strikers such as this were commonly found in public houses, hotels, and clubs, making surviving examples increasingly sought after by collectors of brewery advertising and pub memorabilia.

Condition shows honest age related wear, including a chip to the rim and a larger chip to one corner, both visible in the photographs. The piece measures approximately 3.75 × 3.75 inches and stands around 2.25 inches tall.
