On offer is an early nineteenth century porcelain globe inkwell attributed to Bloor Derby and dating to circa 1820. The globular body is finely hand painted with colourful botanical sprays, including pink roses and yellow flowers, complemented by extensive gilding to the flared rim, circular handle and foot.

The Derby porcelain factory operated under Robert Bloor during the Regency period and became known for richly enamelled and gilded ornamental porcelain. This Bloor Derby porcelain inkwell is a beautiful example of Regency desk ware, retaining strong colour and decorative appeal.
