On offer is a pair of WW1 era Lumiere Paris binoculars, produced as a War Office model and complete with their original fitted leather carrying case. Lumiere of Paris is best known for its pioneering work in photography during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, but the company also manufactured quality optical instruments, including military field binoculars used during the First World War.

The binoculars measure approximately 125 mm by 130 mm when closed and remain in good vintage condition with expected age related wear. The original leather case is included, adding to both the authenticity and collectability of the set. A fine example of early twentieth century military optics and an excellent addition to any militaria or optical instrument collection.
