On offer is a mid-century Danish stoneware figurine produced by L. Hjorth of Denmark. The Hjorth pottery works, founded in 1859 on the island of Bornholm, became well known for its distinctive stoneware pieces and Scandinavian folk-inspired designs throughout the 20th century. This small figure is signed L. Hjorth Denmark to the base.

The figurine stands approx. 3.75 inches tall and is in good condition, with hand-painted detailing and characteristic Hjorth modelling.
