On offer is a 19th century Chinese export porcelain ginger jar, hand painted in cobalt blue with a continuous landscape scene featuring waterways, trees and traditional architectural forms. Produced during the mid-Qing dynasty period, these blue and white wares were commonly crafted in the celebrated Jingdezhen kilns, known internationally for their refined porcelain and high-quality cobalt decoration.
This jar has a rounded body and short neck typical of export ginger jars of the era. It measures approximately 6.5 inches (16.5 cm) in height. The original lid is now absent, but the jar survives in good antique condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. A fine example of Chinese export blue and white porcelain that brings historic character and authenticity.
