On offer is an original late 1950s – 1960s metal pet food advertising sign featuring the wording Pets Centre, Please Serve Yourself, together with Chappie, Lassie, Meet and Kit E Kat. The cream lettering and graphics are set against a dark burgundy ground, giving the sign a strong period shop advertising appearance.

The combination of Chappie, Lassie, Meet and Kit E Kat is documented in British pet food advertising from 1958, supporting a late 1950s date for this example. British Newspaper Archive
