Mdina Textured Glass Vase 1970s Tortoiseshell Design Mdina Vase
£50.00
On offer is a 1970s Mdina textured glass vase in the striking tortoiseshell colourway. This sculptural form belongs to the knobbly/textured range introduced by glassmaker Michael Harris shortly after establishing Mdina Glass in Malta in 1968. Harris, previously of Whitefriars, brought a distinctive artistic approach to Mdina, and this piece reflects his expressive, organic design style.
The vase stands at approximately 8 inches tall and features rich layered colouring with a tactile textured surface, reminiscent of the Whitefriars knobbly range that influenced early Mdina production. It is in good condition with no chips or cracks. A fine example of Mdina’s early artistic glass, offering strong display presence.
