West German Pottery Vase by Scheurich 239-41 Fat Lava Glaze
£55.00
On offer is a large West German pottery vase produced by Scheurich, marked 239-41 to the base. This substantial piece stands at approximately 41 cm tall and displays the classic mid-century Scheurich aesthetic, including layered colour bands and raised textured lava-style decoration. Scheurich was one of the largest and most influential German pottery makers of the post-war era, known for bold glazes and sculptural forms that defined the “Fat Lava” movement.
This example is in good condition with no chips or cracks. There are a few minor marks from age and a small dent to the rim formed during production, sitting beneath the glaze as part of the original manufacture.
