On offer is a large signed Bland Glass paperweight, dated 1985 and displaying an elegant internal lilac sculptural form encased in clear glass. The base is inscribed Bland Glass and 85. Bland Glass is associated with the studio glass movement of the late 20th century, during which independent makers produced distinctive hand-worked art glass with an emphasis on form and colour. This example shows controlled bubbles and flowing internal ribbons, characteristic of studio craftsmanship. There is a very small bruise to the top, mentioned for accuracy, but it remains an attractive and substantial piece.

A fine studio paperweight with strong display presence and collectible appeal.
