On offer is a large millefiori glass paperweight produced by Caithness Glass of Scotland, created to commemorate the P and O Canberra World Cruise of 1988. The paperweight is finely made with two concentric rows of millefiori canes set within clear crystal, giving strong colour and depth to the design.

Caithness Glass, founded in 1961 in Scotland, became internationally respected for its high quality art glass and paperweights, particularly those using millefiori techniques. This example is etched to the base with a globe and ship motif and further engraved with the inscription P and O Canberra World Cruise 7th Jan to 8th April 1988. An etched number 65 is also present, suggesting a limited edition production.

The paperweight measures approximately 2.75 inches in diameter and is in good condition overall, with no noted damage. A well documented and collectible example of commemorative Caithness millefiori glass.
