On offer is a large Georgian / Regency period wine carafe dating to around 1820. This English lead glass example features a wide pouring rim with crisp slice cutting down the neck and a triple annulated knop designed to provide a secure grip when handling a heavy vessel. The body is generously globular with an applied plain foot, finished with a large ground and polished pontil showing age-appropriate wear.
A substantial early 19th-century carafe with an impressive presence, measuring approx. 10.5 inches tall and 6.5 inches in diameter, with a capacity of around one to one and a half bottles.
