On offer is a large copper Viking ship wall panel in the manner of the Newlyn School. Made from worked copper over a wooden backing, the panel depicts an impressive Viking longship with a dragon figurehead, decorated sail and shields along its side.

The copper has developed a superb warm colour, with darker tones highlighting the detailed relief work. It is signed Jean Symonds and dated 1966 on the reverse. A striking piece of maritime copperwork with strong decorative character.
