This example is numbered 201, and, like all bears from Canterbury Bears, it was handmade in England using traditional craftsmanship. Founded in 1979, Canterbury Bears is known for high-quality mohair bears made by skilled British artisans, and John Blackburn is among their most recognised designers, noted for his distinctive textural style.

This large bear stands at approximately 20 inches tall and is made from deep navy mohair plush with quilted velvet paw pads and soles. It features blue glass eyes, jointed limbs and its original ruff collar. The original hangtag is still attached, confirming its authenticity and limited edition number. Condition is good with only light handling wear.
