WH Harling London Brass Parallel Rolling Rule 24in Vintage Drawing Tool
£85.00
On offer is a substantial brass parallel rolling rule by W.H. Harling Ltd of London, a respected maker of scientific and drawing instruments founded in 1851 at 47 Finsbury Pavement. Harling later expanded production at Grosvenor Works, Hackney, becoming well known for precision-engineered tools used in drafting, navigation and maritime work.
This heavy two-foot (24-inch) example features solid brass construction with an ebonised finish, still present but showing age-related wear. The rule is clearly stamped with the Harling maker’s mark and comes with its original box, adding to its completeness and collectability. Measuring approximately 24 inches long and 2.5 inches wide, it is a fine piece of late 19th- to early 20th-century drawing or maritime equipment.
A strong and well-preserved example of Harling’s precision rolling rules, ideal for collectors of scientific instruments, naval tools or vintage drafting equipment.
