On offer is a large Beswick cantering Shire horse figure, finished in a rich brown gloss glaze and modelled with the outstanding detail that made Beswick one of Britain’s most respected ceramic manufacturers. Founded in Staffordshire in 1894, Beswick became internationally recognised for its lifelike animal figures, with its Shire horse models remaining among the firm’s most sought after collectables.

This impressive ceramic figure displays powerful musculature, a flowing mane and tail, and finely modelled feathering to the legs, capturing the strength and elegance of the Shire horse. Measuring approximately 8 inches tall and 9.5 inches long, it remains in good condition with only light signs of handling.

A fine example of a Beswick cantering Shire horse that will make an excellent addition to any collection of British ceramic animal figures.
