Produced by Edwardian China as a first edition during the early 1990s, the reverse carries the maker’s mark and an extensive account of geological exploration, colliery development and the challenges of extracting coal in Kent. This Kent Coalfield plate commemorates the last major coalfield to be developed in Britain.
