On offer is a striking mid century Czech art glass ashtray made by Chřibská glassworks, designed by Josef Hospodka. This sculptural piece features layered cased glass in pink, green, and clear tones, finished with a contrasting white rim and fluid organic form characteristic of Hospodka’s work.

Chřibská glassworks became internationally recognised during the mid 20th century for bold modernist designs, many created under Josef Hospodka’s direction. His work is celebrated for its expressive shaping and strong colour combinations. This example measures approximately 5 inches by 5 inches and stands about 3.25 inches tall. The condition is good overall, with a small chip to the underside of the base beneath the foot, not visible when the piece is standing. A distinctive example of Czech Bohemian art glass with strong period presence.
