Ceramic Teapot James Sadler Henry VIII Character Teapot Toby Style
£40.00
On offer is a vintage James Sadler ceramic teapot modelled in the style of traditional character and toby jugs, depicting Henry VIII. James Sadler & Sons, established in Stoke-on-Trent in the late 19th century, became well known for their high-quality novelty and character teapots, many of which have become popular among collectors of British ceramics.
This teapot is nicely detailed, showing Henry VIII’s characteristic attire and beard, with bright hand-painted decoration. The piece is in very good condition with no chips or cracks noted. It measures approximately 6 inches tall and around 8 inches in length from the tip of the spout to the end of the handle.
A bold and appealing character teapot with strong display presence.
