Chinese Famille Rose Porcelain Dish Guangxu Period Nineteenth Century

£95.00

On offer is a Chinese famille rose porcelain dish dating to the Guangxu period (1875 to 1908). Finely hand painted in the vibrant famille rose palette, the decoration features an arrangement of traditional scholar’s objects and auspicious emblems, motifs closely associated with Chinese literati culture and symbols of learning, refinement, and good fortune. Famille rose porcelain became one of the most celebrated decorative styles of the Qing dynasty, admired for its rich enamel colours and intricate hand painted detail.

This Chinese famille rose porcelain dish measures approximately 7.25 inches in diameter and displays attractive late Qing craftsmanship. It has a restoration to the rim together with a small tight hairline, both clearly shown in the photographs. Despite these condition points, it remains a decorative and collectable example of Guangxu period Chinese porcelain with excellent colour and traditional decoration.
