On offer is a group of antique vintage Welsh glass cod bottles from Porth and Aberdare, all retaining their original moulded lettering and characteristic torpedo form. These bottles were used for aerated waters and mineral drinks, designed to be stored on their side to keep the marble seal moist and effective.

The group includes three Porth cod bottles, two measuring approximately 9.25 inches tall and one smaller example measuring approximately 7.5 inches tall. Also included is an Aberdare bottle for Windsor Aerated Water by J L Bowen and Son of Aberdare, a well known local producer supplying the South Wales valleys during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Welsh cod bottles are increasingly scarce and valued for their regional glassmaking history.
