On offer is a pair of 19th century Victorian silver plate candlesticks with ornate repoussé floral and scrollwork decoration. Each candlestick has a shaped column, broad circular foot and removable sconce.

The candlesticks are unmarked and weighted for stability. A discreetly filed area revealed bright white metal beneath, although acid testing did not indicate sterling silver. They may therefore be silver plated nickel or another white base metal.
