Antique Sterling Silver Sugar Tongs Georgian William Russell II
£ 125.00
On offer is a fine pair of antique sterling silver sugar tongs, crafted in 1830 by the respected Glasgow silversmith William Russell II. Made in solid English sterling silver, this Georgian-period example displays clean lines, crisp decoration and fully struck Glasgow hallmarks. Russell was an established early 19th-century maker known for producing well-finished flatware and small table pieces, and these tongs are an excellent representation of his work.
The tongs measure approximately 6 inches in length and have a substantial weight of around 53 grams, giving them a satisfying feel in the hand.
