Edwin Moore Watercolour Painting English Country House
£195.00
On offer is a watercolour painting by Edwin Moore (1813–1893), son of noted portrait painter William Moore (1790–1851). The work depicts a substantial English country house set within open parkland, rendered in Moore’s characteristic delicate palette. Moore exhibited occasionally at the Royal Academy, and his landscape subjects remain appreciated for their understated detail and period charm.
The painting is signed lower left and measures approximately 24 x 14 inches. It is currently out of its frame and laid on card, showing areas of colour fade, some foxing, and a small hole in the sky, all visible in the images. Despite this, the painting retains appeal and would benefit significantly from professional mounting and framing.
